Weekly Conferences
Conferences are held every Wednesday morning
- Portfolio Case Conference: Led by a senior-level resident each month, this conference highlights interesting cases and decision-making processes.
- Morbidity and Mortality Conference: A key component of our Quality Improvement education, focusing on service-related case reviews.
- Journal Club: Residents review and critically analyze literature in the field of plastic surgery.
- Research Conference: Faculty and residents share and develop their ongoing academic projects.
- Didactics: Lectures on various core plastic surgery topics delivered by intramural and extramural faculty. This series covers the entire plastic surgery curriculum over a two-year cycle.
In addition to the weekly conferences, the program includes a monthly surgical skills lab as part of the PRS Core Surgical Curriculum. These labs range from cadaver and simulation dry labs to microsurgery skills labs and aesthetic injectables labs.
Attendance is mandatory for all residents, who have protected time to participate in these lectures regardless of their clinical rotation.
